LITTLE HANDS...BIG CAMERA

Growing up, my little hands always used to reach for my pappy’s big camera. He always carried a Nikon around his neck and enjoyed the time he could sift through the developed photos of nature, Native American festivals, and, of course, me. I used to be on his heels constantly-- watching him and learning from him. When I got my first camera, he shared in my excitement. He thought any of my photos belonged mounted in a million dollar mansion. Looking back, I am quite embarrassed of those first photos, but he knew those shots were just baby steps and professional quality shots would soon come.
I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in agricultural communication. In addition to photography, my portfolio includes written work, graphic design and web design. I currently live in Athens, GA, but am available for sessions across the North Georgia area. My love for photography began as taking shots of Georgia agriculture, but soon, I began to incorporate portrait, family and event sessions.
My pappy had a knack for capturing beauty in its natural state-- something I admired about him. My goal is to replicate that. My hands aren’t so little now and the Nikon camera I own now sure doesn’t seem as big as my pappy’s did so long ago, but seeing the world through the lens of a camera still brings me child-like joy.
